  • Pam, it is always such a joy to work with you! Thanks for the wonderful Home Sweet Home event at What’s In Store. I look forward to working with you again!

What can I say about how amazing Pam is?! Pam has done and incredible job with so many projects. Both personally and professionally, I think she’s an amazing person. She was a great events planner for the Old Colorado City Great Pumpkin Weigh. She went above and beyond on the 1st ever Plates and Pallets event for OCC and I feel it set a great foundation to what will continue to be a great event!
And she coordinated OCC’s holiday season of events with great tenacity!
I’m looking forward to many more projects be it related to my own business, A Call to Life and/or Old Colorado City Associates!

  • Chris Sonderman says:

Firstly, thank you for all your efforts in making the stroll a success.
    Well advertised.
    Strong participation.
    Music added to festive feeling.
    Good pairings with restaurants.
Great exposure for retail and restaurant alike.
Lot of people on the street having fun, like a downtown should  look!!!
Easy to promote because of the Santa, carolers etc.
We need to do this sometime in the summer too.
People were having fun.  They liked seeing downtown busy.  Many comments to the effect that this is the kind of event they want, as opposed to the traditional parades or spring spree type events.
     Thanks again, Chris

  • Jeanne Gavin from Tillie and Toad says:

The Holiday Stroll was a great success. The food was great, the weather wonderful. It brought people that had never been downtown before. You advertising was everywhere.
Thanks, Pam, for doing such a good job putting it all together.

  • Debra Saunkeah from Fabulous Finds says:

I loved the entertainment at the Holiday Stroll this year! The Caroler, Bell ringers, and Santa was great! We had 180 in our shop at one time!

I only heard one lady say, “if I didn’t come for the stroll every year, I wouldn’t have known your store was here!”

    Great success! Congratulations!

  • Karen Standridge says:

Pam, EVERYONE knows you; they know you are good; they know you deliver on what you say you will do. Your reputation is perfect. Maybe you could train me and we could work together. The art market isn’t so lucrative that I couldn’t us extra $$$! HA HA.

The Plates & Palettes event in OCC was a huge success!

The staff that I had at Nice & Naughty giving out samples said people were RAVING about the event and were having a great time and wished we would have more such events.  Also BOTH days were overwhelmingly successful sales days for us!

Thanks for taking to the time to write.  I appreciate the kind words.

You’ve hit the ground running and already shown your metal.  I am so grateful.

I think we were looking for you at the same time you were dreaming of working with us.  Maybe someday we’ll understand why we both had to wait until now.  J

We’ll build on this year’s lessons and grow forward.

    Now looking on to Christmas…….
    Have a wonderful day !!!!!

  • Tas Blevins says:

    Pam,

Christmas 2011 was the easiest and most relaxed Christmas I have ever had. Everyone got along and there were no conflicts. You couldn’t ask for anything more. Looking forward to working with you again.
You know how to put the spirit in Christmas and make an old fat man happy. Will we be doing promotions again every year?

  • Daniel Hammond says:

    Pam,

With the heat near 100 degrees, I would imagine Christmas is the last thing on most people’s mind, unless they work for OCC and are in the midst of planning this year’s Christmas at the cabin. Which is why I wanted to let you know that I am available for photographing the children again this year, and to tell you how much I enjoyed working with you last year. And thanks for all the treats and coffee provided.

It was nice to work with someone who understands what it takes to pull off such an event, especially when the electrical company decides to ‘flip the switch’ on our electricity, turning the cabin into a real winter wonderland. Thanks again for all the help in making last year a success. I look forward to working with you again this year.

    Take Care,
    Dan

  • Marci Austin says:

I am the owner of Envi Inc. and have worked with Pam for over a year .Pam is always pleasant and professional, and is always trying to market OCC the best way possible.I hope she will continue to expand her creativity and bring more events and foot traffic to all of OCC merchants.

  • Kathleen McFadden says:

    Hey Pam,
I just wanted to drop you a note to say I appreciate all you’re doing with the Taste of Old Colorado event. The fire has probably slowed the momentum of ticket sales, but I feel like it’s going to be even better than last year’s and I was very pleased with the success of that one. We are going to sell out the tickets at the next Art Walk event, you just watch.

Your enthusiasm and energy is infectious. When you pop in to give me an update, I get all fired up about the different events you work on for us. Thank you for all your hard work. You’re a real asset to us here in OCC, your love of our community shows and you’re a great ambassador for those of us who are tied up inside our businesses.

Keep bringing people in to Old Colorado City, we appreciate it.

  • Tim Payne says:

    To Pam,

Just a short note to say that we appreciate your help in promoting The Mason Jar, by distributing our brochures throughout the community.

We helped sponsor the Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off with gift certificates this past fall. We look forward to working with you on future events.

I enjoyed meeting someone who represents OCC in a positive and professional manner.

    Best regards,

    Tim Payne

  • Kang Lee says:

    Dear Pam
It was good to see you when you visit our gallery for OCCA event.
I am not attending OCCA meeting anymore because I got a different job to
take care of at the gallery, I miss every one.
I like to complement you are doing great promotions for us. Create more
traffic and advertising, which is what we need it.
More you do will help us more. Keep up good work.

    Blessings,

    Kang Lee Sheppard

  • Hi Pam!

You and I have spoken a few times. Thank you so much for planning this event and sticking with it. It is amazing how much it has grown in such a short period of time…and to me, that clearly shows that we are doing something our city appreciates and needs.

  • I have worked with Pam Gressett for about a year now and she is a huge asset in our company being involved in the OCC events. Old Colorado City has some of the best events all year long and we love being at every one of them. Pam always keeps me informed of upcoming shows, sponsorships, and other opportunities. I love having her help, and her care and generosity to others is amazing.

  • We worked with Pam during the Taste of Old Colorado in Colorado City on September 5th. We had worked many times with her, but to our delight, this time yielded three times the customers who signed up for our clinic. We are more than pleased! Keep up the good work, and keep us informed of all your events that we can be a part of.

  • Chris Sondermann says:

“Several winters ago the first downtown Colorado Springs Holiday Stroll was launched and for many city residents a new holiday tradition was born. The core of the city comes alive with a cozy, festive spirit as families, neighbors, and friends gather to kick off the holiday season. The evening of the “Stroll” successfully blends old time traditions with contemporary flair; yes, there are carolers and nog, Santa and cookies, but revelers also will experience innovative window displays, gourmet nibbles from favorite local eateries, and goblets of merlot! A strong community and celebratory atmosphere fills the sidewalks of Tejon with laughter and conversation, and while some choose to take advantage of the many discounts retailers offer, or the beautiful custom gift wrapping, others enjoy the social moments and simply make note of ideas for future shopping forays. Come gather and feel how warm a winter evening can be! It is my favorite night of the year downtown!” Chris Sondermann, owner of Terra Verde

    Shoestring Events,

Speaking for Richard Skorman Inc., last night, the Holiday Stroll Downtown was wonderful! The people were all happy and engaging. The entertainment was just that… entertaining! Jill the face painter was rock’in her paint brush, Santa was regal, the “n vision” quartet sounded beautiful, and Elvis was a hoot. Would definitely do it next year.

Hi Pam and all, Absolutely fabulous! What a joy it was to see a steady stream of cars on Tejon, a steady stream of strollers, and holiday cheer everywhere we looked. Who now can say, “Oh, no one goes downtown.” EVERYONE was downtown last night. I know everyone benefits so much from this kind of exposure. What’s good for one downtown is good for all! The entertainment was such a kick! We got Elvis and Marilyn last, but even after a full evening, they were performing as pros!

Thanks so much, Pam, for all the hard work on this event. You do such a fantastic job with this and the Chic Crawl in January! Keep ’em comin’! We’ll keep wining and dining them! ks

  • Don Humphrey says:

Pam: The pumpkin weigh off this year was phenomenal. The traffic started around 9:30 and continued non stop, till we had to move people out of the way
to get the pumpkins out. The crowds seemed to be moving from the park where the farm produce was to us and back. This was the largest number of people
since I have been associated with the weigh off. All the pumpkin growers and vendors were pleased with the turn out.

    Pam –

Therese and I checked out the Christmas Stroll Saturday night, and I don’t recall seeing that many shops open late like that or so many people out in Old Colorado City (especially in cooler weather). What was your reaction to the turnout? Any feedback yet from the merchants and/or OCCA board?

    Thanks,

  • Jan Weiser says:

    Pam~
I am one of the chapter sponsor with the Institute for Cultural Communicators, the organization Anita Schlichting works with.

I wanted to thank you for the opportunity to participate in the Christmas Stroll. Our chapter members were very nervous as we started out but as we progressed, and they saw how people responded to their presentation, they were excited and encouraged. People rolled down their windows while stopped at street lights and opened doors to stores to listen – with temperatures in the low 30’s! We even had people stop on the street to join in the Christmas carols. We were able to present 10 times in an hour along the both sides of the street.

What an great opportunity to share the good news of Christmas! Thank you for the time and effort to make it happen.

    Happy New Year~
